Have you ever tried powdered green matcha tea? We bought it in our local asian food market, but you can get it in any health food stores. Originally comes from Japan and it's grown in the shade to increase chlorophyll content. Anti-ageing, metabolism-enhancing, energy-boosting, fat-burning, stress-reducing, mind-improving, cholesterol-lowering, ultimate cancer fighter! Seriously? Wow. On top of that it contains a high level of easily-absorbable dietary fiber, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. One cup of matcha green tea has as many antioxidants as 10 cups of regular tea! To make it short - I could easily advertise this product cause it is super healthy and instead of taking all the supplements - we recommend that you drink this green goodness each morning.

We love green color. It's restful, soothing, cheerful, and health-giving, it is perfect for today! As my friend just said on facebook - today's weather is totally bipolar - sun, darkness, rain, sun again - how can you not go crazy? I sit and stare outside our window and wonder what to prepare to satisfy our sweet tooth. The recipe comes from my sister, and it is perfect for Sunday afternoon  snack.

This green smoothie is very dense, soft, velvety. Janusz never liked avocados, but thanks to the combination with bananas, honey and green tea I won him over :)

Ok, enough of writing nonsense, time for a recipe!

for 2-3 glasses:

  • 2 avocados
  • 2 bananas
  • glass milk
  • few mint leaves
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 2 tsp matcha green tea
Peel avocados and bananas. Place in a food processor add mint leaves, milk, matcha green tea and honey. Mix everything togather and serve in glasses with straws.
