Detox is coming up soon - we will start it on 1st of October. This week however we are already trying to eat healthy! Enjoying vegetable soup, trying to eat less meat and began juicing too. We wanted to introduce some recipes that you can use as part of daily routine next week. Today - healthy organic juices, which will provide your body with a super-dose of enzymes, minerals and nutrients - on top of that they are really delicious!

So to begin with, here are few words about Gerson Therapy. Green Leaf Juice

The green leaf juice is extremely rich in iron and other minerals, and very high in chlorophyll. It is a substance similar to human hemoglobin, is the richest source of oxidizing enzymes.

It is recommended that juicers have two separate components, a grinder to grind the vegetables into pulp and a hydraulic press to extract the juice of the vegetable from the pulp by squeezing it under high pressure. We used masticating juicers as they are acceptable alternatives and extract sufficient amount of juice, preserving enzyme activity.

  • 6 to 8 leaves Romaine
  • 3 leaves lettuce
  • 1 leaf chard
  • 1 leaf beet top (young inner leaves
  • 4 leaves watercress
  • 1 leaf red cabbage
  • 1 leaf Escarole
  • 1 leaf Endive
  • 1/2 Green bell pepper
  • 1 medium green apple

Wash greens. Cut off bottom parts. Deseed pepper, core apple, remove seeds too. Place all in the juicer until fully processed. you may as well grind and squeeze!

Carrot-Apple Juice

Relationship between the carrots and apples provides greater nutrient absorption when they are juiced together. It has a pleasant flavor and is easy on the digestive system. This juice is high in beta-carotene, calcium, minerals, vitamins, and phytochemicals. The carrot-apple juice, like all of the other juices, should be consumed immediately after pressing, but may be kept for 2-3 hours.

  • 8 organic carrots
  • 2 organic apples

Wash and brush carrots. Wash and core apples and remove seeds, cut into quarters. Feed into the juicer until fully processed plus grind, press and squeeze!
